In the past 5 years alone, Simon has recorded more than 1500 voice-overs for a huge range of clients both local and international There isn't a major advertising agency who hasn't used his voice, nor is there a commercial TV or radio station in Australia where he hasn't been heard! A long list of major international brand names have used Simon's voice in their advertising. These include leading auto manufacturers, consumer electronics companies, hotel groups, telco's, financial organisations, publishers, food and drink brands as well as leading charities and Australian government authorities. Apart from advertising, Simon is often used as a narrator for corporate videos, documentaries, CD ROMS, websites, etc. Biography Acting Simon's acting background coupled with his interest in radio is what led him to become a voice artist. Although these days most of his acting is voice acting along with some TV commercial roles, earlier acting credits have included: Role of Sam in "Big Buddy Sam & The Great Uphill." Various television commercials, Performed dramatisations on the Hinch & Couchman programs. Guest roles in Home & Away and A Country Practice and featured as the Californian guitarist in the Whitlams music video "Chunky Chunky Air Guitar". Presenting TV: - Host of the Optus program "Attitude" for 36 episodes. A magazine style show including studio and location shoots with regular studio interviews with guests. Simon also regularly presents corporate video productions for a variety of clients. Radio: - Simon's early working life was spent in commercial radio focusing on current affairs and talkback as host of a networked evening program. Highlights include interviewing senior political figures & international performers. Twice awarded National Finalist for "Best Regional Talkback Host". MC: - Past events include: Conventions, Music festivals, Exhibitions, Parades and sporting events. Training: - National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) Open Program & Summer Program - various screen acting courses, tutors included Antony Grgas, Screen Actors Studio course tutored by "Farscape's" Lani Tupu. Competent in horseriding, water & snow skiing, rockclimbing/abseiling, golf, tennis, all types of fishing, multi-line kite flying, home renovating, handyman skills & landscaping/gardening.
